Preparing For Life Programme - Home Visitor

Roscommon LEADER Partnership (RLP) is an organisation that brings together key development projects including rural enterprise, development and social inclusion that work for the betterment of the people of Co. Roscommon.

Preparing for Life is a Prevention and Early Intervention project based in Roscommon. We support parents to use evidence-based approaches to help children achieve their full potential. We work from pregnancy through childhood with families, health services, early education settings and schools.

Working in line with Roscommon LEADER Partnership’s Code of Conduct, Policies and Procedures, the Home Visitor will work to a clearly outlined programme manual with the expectation of delivering the following outcomes for the targeted children, their parents and families to achieve:

• Year on year improvements (0-5 years) in children’s physical, psychological and emotional health, and in their educational, speech and motor skills.
• Year on year improvements in parent’s psychological health, aspirations for their child, and their parenting skills.
• Improved school readiness.
• Improved parenting and enjoyment of parenting
• Preparing for Life, Roscommon is a partnership between RLP and Tusla Family Services

Conditions of Work

Location: Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon

Working Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: €32,182.00 – €44,931.00 (based on qualifications & experience)

Reports to: Home Visiting Coordinator
