Irish Language Tutor, Henrietta Adult and Community Education Service (HACE)

Henrietta Adult and Community Education (HACE) was established over 20 years ago to meet the educational needs of local adults in Dublin’s North Inner City. Our catchment area is Dublin 1 and Dublin 7. Our services are targeted to individuals and families experiencing socio-economic and educational disadvantage. We operate a responsive, learner-centric model which aims to grow the skills and confidence of our participants. Our participants range in age from 18 years to senior citizens.

Irish tutor:

The Henrietta Adult and Community Education (HACE) service are seeking a fully qualified, professional and enthusiastic Irish language tutor who is passionate about working in a community setting with adult learners.

This role is to facilitate a mixed level weekly evening class (Monday 6.30-8.30pm) emphasising enjoyment of the Irish language.

Role Requirements

• Experience of teaching group Irish classes
• A passion for Irish language and culture
• The ability to design an inclusive curriculum suitable for adult learners with mixed levels of Irish
• An interest in education as a means of social change

Contract: September to December term (10 weeks Sept 23 – Dec 2)

Rate of Pay: €39.93 per hour

Hours of work: 2 Hours per week – Monday 6.30-8.30pm
