Greencastle Parade Homeless Family Hub provides temporary emergency accommodation for 25 families. The service is ‘housing led’; our priority is to work closely with our residents to identify their strengths and address any potential barriers preventing them from availing of independent accommodation. There is now the opportunity to be part of this inspiring team.

Greencastle Parade is currently recruiting for a Specialist Support Worker. The role is critical to supporting our families in moving-on to independent living. You will be responsible for taking a lead role in key working and programme management to plan and deliver a high-quality support service which promotes client choice and which is designed to develop life skills and support residents in securing private accommodation in the wider community.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Level 5 qualification or equivalent in a related field
• Experience of working with vulnerable clients in a housing-focused programme
• Knowledge of the benefits system including HAP and an understanding of the housing allocation process

SALARY: €19.87 per hour + on call premium

WORKING HOURS: 39 hours per week including on-call, occasional weekends and evenings

CONTRACT: Permanent
