Project Officer for the Ballyfermot Local Drug and Alcohol Task Force - The Person
The Liffey Area Partnership is seeking to appoint to our team a person with a passion for and expertise in supporting the Ballyfermot LDATF with its programmes and development.
This person will likely be an individual with experience in front line service delivery in a specialised substance misuse service, or similar community-based setting. This person will have a clear understanding of the policy frameworks which guide the work of specialised substance misuse services and will understand the different models of intervention used with both individuals and families impacted by substance misuse.
The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of community development principles, will have experience of organising events and training, will have a broad understanding of the range of issues which can impact on substance misuse, and they will likely have experience of delivering training both formal and informal.
This person will be a self-starter with a strong ability to work on their own initiative, but to be equally able to work as part of a team and to incorporate feedback and consultation in their everyday work.
The post holder will require excellent interpersonal skills and will be engaged in constructively developing relationships with a wide cohort of stakeholders.
