Extern are recruiting for the following vacancies in the Cavan area.
Traveller Primary Health Care Worker - Cavan - (ROI97/03/25/1V/1)
Salary:€13.50 per hour
Hours: 6 Hours per week (Flexibility Required)
Contract Status: Permanent, subject to continuous funding
Location: Church Street Cavan
About the service:
Extern provides a range of projects including The Traveller Primary Health Care. The project aims to support individuals and organisations to improve health through informed health care, and mutual aid, encouraging and enabling local initiatives for health. The Traveller Primary Health Care project emphasises a process that values empowerment, partnership and advocacy when designing and implementing health care interventions.
The aim is to create dialogue between Travellers and Health care providers, develop the skills of Traveller’s in providing community-based support health services, highlight the gaps in Health Service delivery to Travellers, and work towards reducing these inequalities that exist in established services.

Community Development Worker - Cavan (ROI96/03/254/1V-1)
Salary: Grade 4 Admin salary scale: €30,841 per annum pro rata
Hours: 8 hours per week (Flexibility Required)
Contract Status: Permanent (Subject to continuous Funding)
Location: Church Street, Cavan
