County Wicklow Partnership: Healthy Food Made Easy Coordinator & Community Tobacco Cessation Facilitator
County Wicklow Partnership wishes to recruit for linked functions of a Healthy Food Made Easy Coordinator and a Community Tobacco Cessation Facilitator. The position will be full time and is funded through the Health & Wellbeing Unit of the HSE Community Healthcare East. The successful candidate will deliver both functions across a 35 hour working week. Hours of work will be divided evenly across both functions.
Health Food Made Easy Coordinator
Health Food Made Easy (HFME) is a national programme devised by the Health Promotion Unit of the Department of Health, in conjunction with the Community Nutrition Service of the HSE. It is a peer-led six session programme, the aim of which is to improve nutritional knowledge, attitudes and behaviour even on a tight household budget.
The HFME Programme Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day operations and organisation of the programme and will also be involved in the delivery of HFME and its variants. They will be responsible for keeping track of all costs related to the Programme working within a set annual budget.
Community Tobacco Facilitator
Tobacco Free Ireland is a HSE national policy priority programme which aims to reduce the prevalence of smoking to less than 5% of the population from 2025 onwards.
The Community Tobacco Facilitator will work towards achieving this objective by engaging with population groups and communities where smoking prevalence is highest and will facilitate a range of behavioural support strategies and initiatives to help make Smoke Free the norm in keeping with HSE Policy and standards. This area of work will require a strong community development ethos.
