The Data & Analytics Directorate has responsibility for monitoring and reporting on the programmes managed by Pobal. This is achieved through the provision of technical expertise across the areas of data analysis, business intelligence, advanced analytics, data science, as well as research and evaluation.

Role: Data & Reporting Analyst (Early Years)
Directorate: Data & Analytics

Reporting to: Early Years Data & Analytics Manager

Role Purpose

Pobal delivers funding programmes on behalf of the Government to a wide range of community service and development organisations, including Early Learning and Care (ELC) and School Aged Childcare (SAC) services. This role is based in the Monitoring, Analysis & Outcomes Unit, which is responsible for collecting data on outputs and outcomes of programmes, its analysis, producing reports for the funders and providing insights for programme design and policy development.

This post holder will be responsible for conducting analysis of programme data and producing reports to fulfil Pobal’s contractual requirements with the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY). This will include the development of new reports, reporting dashboards and answering of Funder Queries that may require a high level of analysis.

Selection Process

A shortlisting exercise will be employed. Eligible applications will be shortlisted according to how well the experience and skills as described by applicants match the needs of Pobal for this post. Those candidates whose applications, in the opinion of the review panel, appear best suited to the position will be short-listed for interview.
