Galway Simon Community is currently recruiting for the following positions:
Health Care Assistant (HSA) – Men’s High Support Residential Service
Location: Galway
Contract Details: Permanent contract, 28 hours per week on average.
Salary: HSE Health Care Assistant 01/03/23 salary scale €31,743 - €40,738 (pro-rata)
Job Purpose:
To work as part of a staff team in a Men’s High Support residential service. Ensuring that services operate effectively and consistently to best practice standards. Housing Support Assistants work alongside our Housing Support Officers, delivering practical supports to clients as part of their overall support plan. The successful candidate will act as a key member of the Team, helping clients maximise their housing security or, supporting and preparing them for move on and independent living as appropriate. The successful candidate will deliver practical supports, the purpose of which will be to assist people in areas such as health and well- being, self-care, personal administration, and home management as necessary.

Health Care Assistant (HSA) – Homeless Prevention Services
Location: Galway County and surrounds
Contract Details: Permanent, 37 hours per week, including some weekends and evenings.
Salary: HSE Health Care Assistant 01/03/23 salary scale €31,743 - €40,738
Job Purpose:
To support people who live in their own homes & shared homes, to live independently, enhancing independent living skills, supporting to attend appointments and participate in community groups and activities to build connections in the community.
