Teach Tearmainn: Refuge & Helpline Worker (Weekends & Public Holidays)
Teach Tearmainn is a Domestic Abuse Support Agency working with Women and Children who are or have been affected by domestic abuse.
Job Title: Refuge & Helpline Worker
(Weekends & Public Holidays, including sleepovers)
Location: Kildare Town
Contract: 12-month fixed term contract, including a 6-month probationary period, renewable subject to funding and performance
Salary: Saturday Shift – €14.24 per hour – this is for both waking and sleeping hours. Sunday & Public Holiday Shift - €16.24 per hour – this is for both waking and sleeping hours.
Shift Pattern 2 week rolling Rota.
Week 1 Saturday Shift 9:00-9:15 (24 hrs 15 mins)
Week 2 Sunday Shift – 9:00-09:15 (24 hrs 15mins)
Public Holidays 09:00-09:15 – you will be required to work a Saturday shift and public holiday shift combined – you will work a minimum of 5 public holidays per annum, these will be assigned to you by the Refuge Coordinator.
Sleepovers, you can sleep between 11pm-7am but you will be required to wake for intakes, emergencies or crisis calls to the helpline.

Teach Tearmainn’s Refuge opened in 2014. The role of the Helpline and Refuge Worker is to work as part of a team to provide a safe, friendly, happy, and caring environment to women and children accessing our helpline and refuge service. Please Note: You must have a full clean driver’s licence and use of your own vehicle for this position.
