Location: Arklow, Wicklow, Rathdrum
Work Schedule: 25hrs per week
Contract: Maternity Cover 26 weeks
Salary: €34,513 - €49,913 DOE
Reporting to: Linda Lambert - Manager
The Role:
Youth work with NEET young people aged 15 – 24 years in line with TYESI
General Responsibilities:
- To implement youth work supports in line with TYESI
- To spend minimum of 80% direct contact with young people with an emphasis on those not in education employment or training
- Develop relationship with businesses within the community who could offer work experience and other supports to the participants
- To attend and participate in TYESI Network meetings
- To attend and participate in training in relation to post as outlined by Department of Education and Youth
- To ensure organised programmes fit within the youth work process and Crosscare Youth Work Approach
- To attend and participate in staff meetings and other meetings as requested
- To submit all paperwork with the specified time period
- To work within the ethos and values of Crosscare
- To implement the Crosscare Strategy
- To manage challenging behaviours and situations
- To work in collaboration with the existing team
- To carry out any other duties assigned by your line manager
Education Requirements:
- Third level Qualification in Youth Work (or relevant discipline)
Experience
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience within this sector
Desirable
- Full Clean Drivers License
