Location: Arklow, Wicklow, Rathdrum
Work Schedule: 25hrs per week
Contract: Maternity Cover 26 weeks
Salary: €34,513 - €49,913 DOE
Reporting to: Linda Lambert - Manager

The Role:

Youth work with NEET young people aged 15 – 24 years in line with TYESI

General Responsibilities:

• To implement youth work supports in line with TYESI
• To spend minimum of 80% direct contact with young people with an emphasis on those not in education employment or training
• Develop relationship with businesses within the community who could offer work experience and other supports to the participants
• To attend and participate in TYESI Network meetings
• To attend and participate in training in relation to post as outlined by Department of Education and Youth
• To ensure organised programmes fit within the youth work process and Crosscare Youth Work Approach
• To attend and participate in staff meetings and other meetings as requested
• To submit all paperwork with the specified time period
• To work within the ethos and values of Crosscare
• To implement the Crosscare Strategy
• To manage challenging behaviours and situations
• To work in collaboration with the existing team
• To carry out any other duties assigned by your line manager

Education Requirements:

• Third level Qualification in Youth Work (or relevant discipline)

Experience

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience within this sector

Desirable

• Full Clean Drivers License
