GYNG CLG provide community education and training opportunities through its Local Training Initiative (LTI) programmes in both Gorey & Courtown. Our LTI’s are funded by the WWETB. GYNG are inviting applications for the following posts:
LTI Courtown Assistant Coordinator
GYNG are recruiting for an LTI Assistant Coordinator with Trade Skills Experience, to join our team midway through this year’s current programme. The LTI Assistant Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery of a Level 4 programme Pathways to Apprenticeships.
Successful Candidates must have:
- A recognised qualification in training/education, educated to degree level
- Experience of management or co-ordination in a community education setting.
- Minimum of three years working with QQI/FETAC accreditation.
- Have a positive attitude and approach to working with young people, their colleagues, funders, and all stakeholders.
- Have a good understanding of issues that can be a barrier to a person learning and solutions that can enhance their experience.
- Experience in delivery of Trade modules
- Have a full driving license
- Garda Vetting will be processed.
Terms:
Full time post 37.5 hours per week for the programme duration. Subsequent Programmes are subject to funding and if an Agreement to Collaborate from WWETB & GYNG is agreed. Salary as per the WWETB LTI Co-ordinator rate.
Panel of Tutors
GYNG are also seeking to recruit a Panel of Tutors for our LTI programmes that operate in Gorey & Courtown. Employment will be based on a specific purpose contract to deliver tuition on agreed programmes. All periods of employment are offered on an annual basis subject to an Agreement to Collaborate from both WWETB & GYNG.
Successful Candidates must have:
- Expert knowledge of subject areas required for the LTI programmes- Trade Skills, Hair & Beauty, Sports & Rec and Soft/Core Skills.
- Third Level Qualification in training/education
- Recognised Training Qualification such as Train the Trainer
- Experience of working in a Community Education Setting
- Have a positive attitude and approach to working with young people, their colleagues, funders, and all stakeholders.
- Have experience in preparing courses, individual lessons plan and have an understanding of classroom management.
- Have a good understanding of issues and challenges that can often impact young people.
- Have a full driving license - Garda Vetting will be processed
Terms
Specified hours for the delivery of relevant modules to meet the needs of the LTI programme and the learners, for an agreed period of time throughout the programme.
