Foróige is the National Youth Development Organisation, which promotes and fosters youth development through the operation of various youth services in urban and rural areas throughout the country. Foróige is currently recruiting for the following position:
YOUTH WORKERS
Project Summary
The Monaghan Integrated Youth Project offers prevention and intervention supports and services to young people 10 – 18 years of age. The Project provides specialist intervention and support services to:
- Young people with identified additional needs or levels of risk.
- Identified young people, who are at risk of reception into care.
- Young people who are in foster care and approaching disengagement.
- Parents and siblings of those engaged.
In addition, the service implements early intervention and prevention programmes that support young people’s engagement in social, personal and community-based initiatives.
The successful applicant will have the following essential requirements;
- Education to Degree standard in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Foróige’s philosophy and approach to youth work and engaging young people and families.
- Ability to work in an efficient manner.
- Car owner with full driving licence.
- A good knowledge and understanding of Tusla’s National Policy Framework for Children and Young People, Tusla's National Service Delivery Framework including Tusla’s National Practice Model for Children and Young people.
