FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER / MEITHEAL SUPPORT

Fulltime (negotiable, 4 days a week), Fixed Term Contract.

Teach Oscail Family Resource Centre in conjunction with Tusla Monaghan/Cavan is now recruiting a fulltime Family Support/Meitheal Worker, to join our Beacon Family Support Team.This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised, and dedicated individual to join our service. You must be solution focused and innovative in your approach to support the provision of our high-quality person-centered Family Support Service.

Essential requirements:

• Candidates must have a minimum of Level 8 in Social Care or the equivalent in a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Family Support.
• Knowledge of current legislation and standards relating to Family Support.
• Demonstrate ability to build meaningful and trusting relationships with families and focus on positive outcomes.
• A solid understanding of the Meitheal Model and its application in supporting children, young people, and families
• A positive, optimistic, non-judgmental attitude to working with vulnerable families.
• Excellent communication skills and proficient in report writing.
• A full clean driving license.

Desirable requirements:

• Meitheal Chair/Lead Practitioner trained.
• Parents Plus Programmes.
• Parents Under Pressure.
• CORU registered.
