Early Years Childcare Practitioners 
(3 immediate vacancies & Relief panel)

The Daughters of Charity Community Services (DoCCS), located at 9 Henrietta Street, Dublin 1, provides a range of educational, training and social care services for adults, youth and children in the North Inner City.

We are recruiting:

Early Years Childcare Educators

  1. Permanent full-time Lead Educator contract for 33 Hours Weekly
  2. Specific purpose Lead Educator contract to cover maternity leave- 33 hours weekly
  3. Specific purpose Educator contract to cover illness – 33 hours weekly
  4. Relief panel – hours as needed.

Required Skills and Competencies:

Essential

  • Minimum QQI Level 5 or QQI level 7/8 for lead roles or relevant equivalent is required
  • A passion for working with young children and their families
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple work tasks and a busy environment

Advantage

  • Experience working in an Early Years setting:
  • Experience of working in a community-based Early Years’ Service would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience and training in Síolta & Aistear

The Services closes for a defined Christmas break; Easter break and August

Hours: Full time: 9am – 4pm (Mon – Thurs) and 9-2pm (Fri) with last hour non-contact time daily for preparation.

Relief Hours as needed.
