Community Afterschools Education Support Worker - Fatima Homework Club

Fatima Homework Club, a programme of The Rialto Youth Project, invites applications for the following post: Community Afterschools Education Support Worker (25 Hour per week contract)

Fatima Homework Club is a programme of Rialto Youth Project. The Homework Club aims to foster the value of children and young people to reach their full potential in their education through various ways; supporting children to complete their homework daily, providing a safe and welcoming space where children enjoy their time and leave feeling happy and confident in their work. In addition, the clubs seek to develop additional skills and talents of young people by providing extra-curricular activities such as arts-based, health based and social programmes. Working in partnership, respect for staff, children and young people, safety and an individual’s interests are valued. The clubs also seek to strengthen links between the schools, children, families, and the community.

The ideal candidate will have a real commitment to the ethos and values of the project and fit one of the following three profile requirements:

• A professionally endorsed qualification (level 5 or above) in a relevant field such as education, early years, special needs is essential + 2 years’ experience of working with young people at risk is desirable.

Hours: 25 hours per week

The successful candidate will be required to complete the Garda Vetting process and child protection training.
