Blakestown & Mountview Youth Initiative CLG (BMYI) is a community-based youth organisation working with young people aged 13 to 18-year-old and their families in the Dublin 15 area.

BMYI is funded by HSE Social Inclusion, Blanchardstown Local Drug Alcohol Task Force & TUSLA Child and Family Agency. BMYI is in a purpose-built facility. It aims to engage young people and their families who are at risk of drug and alcohol use. . It is a referral-based community and youth service offering three aspects of work – youth development, education and family support.

We are now recruiting for the post of:
Manager Maternity Cover

Candidates will be expected to have:

Essential:

• A minimum of five years’ experience working within a youth work setting
• Hold a 3rd level qualification to a minimum of degree level in youth work, social studies or related discipline
• Experience of strategic planning and financial management
• Knowledge of implementation of a Governance framework informed by best practice
• Experience of leading or managing a team of staff
• Excellent communication, leadership, motivation and report writing skills

Desirable

• Experience of management in a youth or community setting
• Worked with a voluntary Board of Management
• Knowledge of National Youth Strategy, National Drug Strategy and Child Protection Legislation.
• Facilities management experience
• Strategic networking skills
