Women’s Collective Ireland (Clare): Development Worker (Part Time)
Women’s Collective Ireland are recruiting for the following position
Development Worker
WCI Clare, part-time - 17 hours per week office based in
WCI Clare Project - Clon Road Business Park, Ennis, Clare, Clare, V95 R8YT, Ireland
This position offers an opportunity to work in a feminist community development project that supports women’s equality and Clare women’s well-being.
Employed by the WCI Board of Management, the Development Worker is responsible for the engagement in community development work within WCI Clare and to facilitate and support development, well-being, training, and networking of women in the local area.
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years' community development work experience within the community and voluntary sector.
- Minimum of Level 6 qualification in community development or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent facilitation skills.
- An understanding of grassroots feminism.
- The ability to outreach and engage with women in the local area.
- The ability to identify the relevant training, supports and needs of women in the area.
- The ability to assist with the planning, promoting and the delivery of relevant programmes/training within WCI Clare.
- The ability to network with other community organisations to support women's participation.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
