Position Title: Keyworker

Location: Johnstown/ Greystones/ Wicklow/ Arklow
Work Schedule: 35 hours
Contract: Full Time Permanent
Salary: Crosscare Band D €32574 to €45795
Reporting to:The post holder will be responsible to Crosscare Counselling Service Manager or nominated Deputy.
The Role:
To work alongside a team of counsellors supporting young people and parents.
General Responsibilities:
- To engage with young people and/or parents while on a waiting list.
- Attend regular meetings and be able to give updates on client status.
- To develop strategic partnerships with other agencies in the area.
- To work alongside a team of counsellors and collaborate in best outcomes for clients.
- Offer short programmes to young people and parents on current issues such as anxiety and school avoidance.
- Be creative in designing new programmes for current issues.
- To submit data, keep programme records and provide updates and reports as requested.
- To prepare and submit outcome reports as requested.
- To take part in ongoing approved training to enhance outcomes for the client group.
General
- To work and promote the ethos and mission of Crosscare and uphold its values in all areas of work.
- To observe the policies and procedures of the project and Crosscare.
- Flexibility in practice as required i.e. out of hours, provision of new programmes and service initiatives
Essential Requirements:
The candidate must, at the latest date for receipt of completed application:
Be in possession of a recognised 3rd Level qualification in Addiction / Social Care / Youth Work or a related field.
Job skills/Experience:
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Must have strong track record in community-based programmes and in supporting strategic partnerships with other agencies.
- Must have experience of interagency work.
- Must have a high level of knowledge and experience of working with young people and parental support work.
Personal Skills/Attributes:
- A commitment to social justice and to treating people with dignity and respect.
- An understanding of the principles of teamwork and the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
- Flexibility, good time management and work in a professional manner.
- A full Driving License and access to own transport.
