No 4 Youth Service aims to enhance the quality of young people’s lives by providing an effective and holistic response to a wide variety of issues pertaining to young people aged 13 - 25 years.
The focus of the organisation is to improve the health and well-being of young people through implementing programmes and activities that have an emphasis on intervention and prevention in a range of areas including, homelessness, education, physical and mental health and employability.
No.4 Youth Service is now recruiting a Youth Worker to support young people availing of the service via our drop-in centre.
Professional Qualifications and Experience
- A relevant third-level qualification
- Experience in working with young people • Experience of working with vulnerable groups and disadvantaged communities
- An understanding and knowledge of relevant issues affecting young people
- Experience of interagency working, to improve outcomes for young people
- Be computer literate
Skills and competencies
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- A proven ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Positive and flexible approach to the work
Special Requirements:
- Garda Vetting will apply
Hours of Work:
35 hours weekly
