Youth Worker

‘Assisting Young People at Challenging Times’.

No 4 Youth Service aims to enhance the quality of young people’s lives by providing an effective and holistic response to a wide variety of issues pertaining to young people aged 13 - 25 years.

The focus of the organisation is to improve the health and well-being of young people through implementing programmes and activities that have an emphasis on intervention and prevention in a range of areas including, homelessness, education, physical and mental health and employability.

No.4 Youth Service is now recruiting a Youth Worker to support young people availing of the service via our drop-in centre.

Professional Qualifications and Experience

• A relevant third-level qualification
• Experience in working with young people • Experience of working with vulnerable groups and disadvantaged communities
• An understanding and knowledge of relevant issues affecting young people
• Experience of interagency working, to improve outcomes for young people
• Be computer literate

Skills and competencies

• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• A proven ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills
• Self-motivated
• Positive and flexible approach to the work

Special Requirements:

• Garda Vetting will apply

Hours of Work:

35 hours weekly
