Our mission is to improve the quality of life for LGBTQ+ people by providing a safe space to find:

Reporting to the CEO, the Hospitality Services Manager is a pivotal new role within Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and revitalise the Outhouse Café, a cornerstone of community support and connection since 1997. The café is not just a place for food and drink but a vital hub for social inclusion and support in the greater Dublin LGBTQ+ community. Revenue generated from the café directly supports Outhouse’s charitable purpose, ensuring the sustainability of programmes that provide vital support to the LGBTQ+ community.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing food and beverage offerings and achieving performance targets with substantial experience in hospitality, food service, and café or restaurant management. They will lead a dedicated F&B team, including employees from labour market activation programmes (Community Employment and Community Services
Programme), focusing on skill development and employability.
This role will also involve enhancing the café's offering, ensuring it remains an affordable, safe, and welcoming space that aligns with the organisation’s ethos and values, while also positioning the café as a standout destination in Dublin's competitive market through innovative, high-quality offerings and exceptional service.
Key opportunities for the post-holder include expanding catering services for various LGBTQ+ organisations, civil society groups, and events hosted at the centre. This role will be instrumental in advancing Outhouse's strategic goals of fostering community connection and providing a safe, accessible space for information and support.
The role requires someone who can balance the need for a sustainable business model with the primary objective of social inclusion. The café must remain affordable and inclusive while generating enough surplus to support its operations. The post-holder will play a key role in developing the café into a vibrant, supportive space that serves as the nexus of social interaction and community engagement.
