Overview

Galway City Partnership is a local and community development company that has worked since 1996 to tackle disadvantage and social exclusion, focusing, in particular, on helping those who are long term unemployed. The Tús initiative is a community work placement scheme providing short-term working opportunities for unemployed people. The work opportunities are to benefit the community and are provided by community and voluntary organisations in the Galway City region.

Role

Galway City Partnership are recruiting for a full-time, temporary position for a supervisor on the Tús Community Work Placement Initiative, to supervise a team of 25 participants. The Tús Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the Tús Programme, ensuring effective supervision of participants and the successful delivery of community projects. This role involves promoting the scheme, managing participant activities, and liaising with community groups to identify suitable work placements. The role will involve supporting participants placed with various community and voluntary groups in the Galway City.
