Fusion: Community Prison Link Worker
COMMUNITY PRISON LINK WORKER
Full-Time Position - 35 hours per week
Fusion is a community addiction service providing rehabilitation support services in Dublin 10, Chapelizod & Palmerstown, supporting individuals both in the community and in prison.
THE ROLE:
We're seeking a Community Prison Link Worker to support individuals affected by addiction within the prison system and facilitate their transition back into the community. Based in our Cherry Orchard office, travelling to Mountjoy Campus, Wheatfield Prison, and Shelton Abbey, Arklow (travel allowance provided).
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Level 7 qualification in addiction studies, social science, or relevant discipline
- Full clean driving license and access to an insured vehicle
- Strong IT and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and networking abilities
- Self-motivated with initiative
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of criminal justice system/Irish Prison Service
- Experience working with offenders/ex-offenders and substance misuse
- One-to-one work, family/group work experience
- Counselling/Facilitation skills
