Drogheda Homeless Aid aims to restore dignity and hope by providing care, support and shelter for homeless people, encouraging self-development, independent living and resettlement. We are a not for profit organisation. Drogheda Homeless Aid (DHA) services include emergency accommodation for approximately 30 men at any one time in the hostel, 4 long term house for families and 5 transitional houses to those experiencing homelessness. We aim to provide a non-judgemental environment, prioritising health, safety and wellbeing of the clients. Our outreach services involves supporting vulnerable adults to live independently in their own homes.

We are currently seeking to recruit a new staff members to join our team:

Job Title: Project Support Worker

Location: Drogheda Homeless Aid and surrounding areas in Louth & Meath

Salary: €33,000 p.a.

Hours: 39 hours per week

Qualifications: Degree in Social Care/Addiction Studies/Community Development or similar comparable discipline.

Full clean driver’s license and use of own car essential.

The Project Support Worker's main function is to support the day-to-day activities of the service, to key-work assigned clients, advocate for and on behalf of clients and to provide outreach to those living in the community. As part of our services they will also assist and support a range of initiatives for vulnerable adults living within the hostel and the local community.

Occasional weekend, evening and on-call duties may be required.
