Assistant Manager – Afterschool and breakfast club

(15-hours per week usually from 13:50 to 17:30, Term time only)

Location: Ennistymon, Co. Clare

Requirements: 

  • Experience in relevant childcare role and/or FETAC Level 5 in Childcare/Early Years Educator

Description:

Mol an Óige Afterschool and Breakfast club is a Steiner-based setting for school aged children and run with the purpose of providing educational and affordable childcare to the community, mainly to the children of the Steiner Community National School, but not limited to them.

The Role:

We are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Manager to join our team. The post holder will assist the manager with the effective running of the service. The successful candidate will help devise activities and work alongside the manager to provide quality care to children in a safe, calm and fun environment. Working closely with colleagues and the manager, and liaising with the broader school staff including SNAs, the Assistant manager’s role is to help ensure the safety, security and well-being of all children in their care.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in relevant childcare role/ a minimum FETAC Level 5 in Childcare/Early Years Educator.
  • Good knowledge of underlying principles in early years education.

Desired but not essential:

  • FETAC Level 6 would be an advantage.
