FAMILY SUPPORT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WORKER

Title: Family Support Community Development Worker (35hrs p/wk)

Location: 33/34 Hillview Grove, (Centre)

Hours of Work: Flexible 4–5 days week

Salary: 35k-40k

SUMMARY

We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced, permanent Family Support Community Development Worker (35 hours per week), to work as part of team to deliver a quality and effective community service.

Role requirements:

• A relevant third level qualification and background in Family Support, Community Development, or similar
• Experience of working with community, voluntary and statutory agencies
• At least 2 years experience of planning, developing and delivering programmes, activities and /or services to groups experiencing poverty, exclusion and/or inequality
• Excellent facilitation and group work skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Competent in creating, implementing and monitoring Family Support Plans and directly working with families.
• Working with the Project Manager, VBOD and team to implement Hillview FRC’s 3 year Operational Plan
• Coordinating children’s summer camps.
• Facilitating weekly children’s youth clubs
• Event management
• Adhering to professional standards and legislation including confidentiality, equality, safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Promoting Hillview FRC’s Family Support Service
