Solis GMC Children’s Services is founded on the principle of providing a solution focused care to young people aged 13 to 17 years.

Due to ongoing expansion, we have openings for Support Worker’s in Killeagh and Coachford County Cork.

POSITION: Support Worker

The role is to work as part of an experienced staff team to provide care for children and young people who are in need of a respite break.

SALARY SCALE: €28,500 - €30,500.00 (per 40-hour week)

HOURS: 40 HOURS PER WEEK

LOCATIONS: Killeagh and Coachford County Cork

JOB ROLE (not limited to):
The role of the Support worker is to work directly with young people, engaging them in an activity led program whilst contributing to the day-to-day running of the residential centre.
Applicants must have a minimum of a level 5 or above qualification

Successful candidates will have

Minimum Qualification:

• FETAC credit in Care Skills at Level 5
• QQI accredited Level 5 Early Learning & Care
• QQI Level 5 Social Studies
• Or Equivalent

Minimum Experience

• Two years working in a care setting

Requirements

• Have a full Driver’s Licence.
• Knowledge of Child Protection issues and relevant legislation.
• Be able to work in an occasionally challenging environment.
• Have a calm, welcoming and patient attitude.
• Be flexible to work on a staff rota.
