We support Women & Children impacted by Domestic Abuse/Coercive Control. We provide a range of pre-crisis, crisis and post-crises services and supports to women and children and to the wider community.

We are seeking a highly motivated and committed individual to work as a Handyman in our various locations – Refuge; Community Houses; Support Services; Community Creche and Charity Shop. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our Residents and Staff.

You will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs, and your duties will include basic carpentry, plumbing & electrics; painting; grounds & building systems maintenance. We will be developing a Property Services Team when we move to our new premises, so this is an exciting opportunity to be with us as we grow. You will report to the Refuge and Support Services Coordinator.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in general handyman duties, including plumbing, electrical (basic), carpentry, and painting.
  • Proven ability to fix a variety of household and building related issues.
  • Discretion and sensitivity in working in the homes of women and children who have experienced domestic violence.
  • A commitment to confidentiality and data protection.
  • Access to transport and a full driving licence

Salary: The Starting Salary for this post is €33,361

Contract Type: Full Time (39 hrs. p/w, excl. lunchbreaks)
