The Janus programme aims to prevent reception into care and/or to support community or foster placements. The programme also aims to support young people returning to the community from residential care/ custody.

Relief Workers - Janus & Time Out Projects

About the services: 

Extern’s Janus Project aim to prevent the reception of young people into care and/or to support community or foster placements. Our programmes also aim to support young people returning to the community from residential care/ custody.​

Extern Time Out programme helps service users by improving the quality of their lives within their community by promoting wellbeing, independence, and healthy life choices. The Time Out programme meets the needs of service users and their families by providing respite (alternative to placement in short-term and/or long-term care) by way of planned, responsive and/or emergency overnights to facilitate a social, educational, cultural, and recreational break at an Extern approved facility.

Salary: €19.61 per hour plus Sunday enhancement rate of pay and overnight sleeping allowance applies
Hours: As and when required. Hours of work will be determined by mutual agreement.
Location: Galway & Roscommon Areas
