Social Care Worker
Positions available in Swords, Co. Dublin & Celbridge Co. Kildare
Terms: Part time hours; initial 1-year fixed term contract
ROLE SUMMARY
Social Care Worker required to support two energetic, active young men with autism living in Dublin north-east and a young man in Celbridge Co. Kildare. Your role is to support them to develop their independence in their home and to lead a meaningful, inclusive, enjoyable life. We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic person who can work on their own initiative with good common sense and a good sense of humour.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Social Care Workers must have a full driver licence and be prepared to drive company vehicles
- Social Care Workers support each person in all areas of their lives – in their home and community.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Experience in the social care/intellectual disability sector preferably in residential and day service settings
- Skills to support people with autism in ordinary places in the community
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Full, clean driver’s license
- Available to work residential hours which will include shift work/ sleepovers and weekends as part of an established friendly team.
- Proficient in using standard office IT applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Hold a relevant qualification to degree level in the area of social care
