Tender Description

About Safe Ireland

Safe Ireland Social Change Agency is a national body working to eradicate Domestic, Sex, Gender and Sexuality-Based Violence (DSGSBV) in Ireland.

We have five distinct functions:

  1. investigating the causes and effects of coercive control based on sex, gender and sexuality
  2. delivering frontline refuge, support and outreach services to victims and survivors
  3. supporting the coordination and development of domestic violence member service providers
  4. developing best practice guidelines for skilled community-led DSGSBV response
  5. influencing government national strategic policy, practice and provision responses and engaging civil society

This is achieved through collaborations with our network of affiliated independent frontline DV services; national and local government; local communities; professionals; public bodies; academic institutions; philanthropists; and corporate partners.

There are thirty-seven DV services across Ireland affiliated as members to Safe Ireland, twenty of which operate twenty-one staffed DV Refuges. Each deliver a range of services including national and local crisis helplines, information/advocacy, crisis and move-on accommodation, Garda / Court accompaniment, immediate practical supports and Welfare advice, adult and child emotional/therapeutic support.

Our core strategic focus is to create meaningful pathways out of coercive control and transform social responses to sex, gender, and sexuality-based violence in communities across Ireland for women, for young people, and for children.

It now seeks a contractor to upgrade its existing website to optimise its functionality for a range of different users and to future-proof its capability for emerging and anticipated new technologies.

It is essential that tender applicants respond to all the specified requirements in the tender document. Applicants must provide a response to all requirements, indicating clearly whether they can support the requirement in full, in part or not at all. The onus is on applicants to present clear and accurate propositions rather than on Safe Ireland to decipher mistakes or to interpret information that is not readily understandable.

A full specification of the contract is detailed in the tender document attached below.

Interested suppliers should submit a proposal by email to info@safeireland.ie no later than Friday 16th August 2024 at 5.00 pm
