Equality and Intercultural Project Officer

The successful candidate will work towards the implementation of the NYCI’s Equality and Intercultural Programme focusing on the inclusion of young International Protection Applicants in youth work and meeting their information needs.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in inclusion and diversity field
  • In-depth knowledge on youth information, messaging and guidance
  • Knowledge and experience of the International Protection System and an extensive understanding of the issues that the young people face.
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills to build relationships, network hubs and communities of practice.
  • Excellent organisational/time management skills and multi-tasking experience, with an ability to write reports.
  • A self-starter and team player who will roll up their sleeves to complete any task necessary.
  • The ability to bring innovative and new ways of working, embrace change, and be solution focused.
  • Attention to detail and dynamic problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, Team’s and Outlook.
  • Youth work and/or not for profit experience

This is a full-time (35 hours per week) fixed term post from September 2024 to August 2025. Flexible working hours apply.
