Essential qualifications

  • Minimum level 7 degree in Social Care, Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Counselling, Youth and Community Work, Social Work, Social Sciences, Teaching & Nursing, Family Support, Disability studies, applied behavioural analysis, Early years care, Applied policing or other related fields.

Desirable experience:

  • Experience working with vulnerable young people.
  • Experience working within a residential & team environment.
  • Experience working with youths and families in the community.

Established in 2012, Compass Child and Family Services (CLG) is a Charity offering out of home care arrangements for children in the care of the Irish State. Our philosophy of working with children and their families is guided by the principles of Social Pedagogy.

  • Compass CFS works with families and its individual members to support and encourage the effective functioning of families living in Ireland.
  • Compass CFS provides residential medium to long-term care for children and young people in the care of the Irish State.
  • The fostering and promotion of aid to children, young people and their families in accordance with the Child Care Act, 1991 and Children’s Act, 2001.
  • Compass CFS provides Aftercare services and supports for young persons over 18 years old.
