PACE is currently recruiting volunteers for its pilot program @ your PACE

PACE is a voluntary sector organisation that works in the community with people who have a variety of sentences (custodial and/or community sanctions) for a wide range of offences. PACE provides a wide range of service to support the safe reintegration of this client group into the community.

As part of this ongoing commitment, the organisation is launching a pilot program @ Your PACE.

PACE works in partnership with the Dept of Justice, the Probation Service, Pobal, Irish Prison Service and the wider community.

About @ your PACE 

@ your PACE is a new project funded by Irish Prison services to deliver a volunteer led Group, within both prison and the community to facilitate group work with life sentence prisoners’ to aid their progression back into the community.

Volunteer Role

The role of the @ your PACE volunteer is to provide a listening ear, offer practical support as well as model positive social skills such as respect, healthy relationships and prosocial activities. Volunteers will encourage independence, foster honest communication, and help Participants build appropriate support networks and maintain healthy personal boundaries

Requirements for this role

Volunteers are members of the community who will be selected, interviewed and trained by PACE.

We are looking for individuals who

  • Demonstrate emotional resilience, a strong sense of balance and are committed to values of integrity, respect and impartiality
  • Are over 21
  • Fluent in English
  • Located in or around the Leinster region
  • Have availability to commit to a minimum of 1.5 – 2hrs per week for 12-14 months.

How do you learn more about Volunteering with @ Your PACE?

We will hold a Volunteering Information Session over Zoom on

  • Thursday, 30th January 2025 at 7.00pm – 8.00pm
  • Wednesday, 5th February at 7.00pm – 8.00pm

This information session will provide more information on PACE and @ Your PACE program with details on everything involved in volunteering, time commitment and what training and supports we offer.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions.
