Description:

The Boyne Catchment is a treasure—rich in historical, mythical, and environmental significance. Building on the Boyne Vision, the Development Perspectives team will harness the activism of our SDG Advocate alumni and climate activists within the catchment to advance climate justice.

Goal: To create a network of climate activists within the Boyne Catchment area. (Louth, Meath and Cavan) by inspiring and supporting action projects to lower carbon emissions and pollution in the area.

Workshop 1: Saturday, May 17th, 10am - 4pm
Development Perspectives Offices, North Quay, Drogheda, A92 PY68

Workshop 2: Saturday September 13th, 10am - 4pm
Headfort Arms Hotel, Trim, Co. Meath A82 D2C1

Online Coaching and Mentoring: Between the two in-person meetings and workshops, DP will offer online 1-1 coaching and mentoring sessions to support the development of action projects.

These sessions will be scheduled flexibly to accommodate both coach and participant availability.

Lunch will be provided both days.

*You must be over 18 to apply

What to Expect

Both events will engage participants in insightful workshops and help shape impactful action projects. Experienced practitioners and speakers will be in attendance, sharing their knowledge and experience.

By the end of the first day, participants will have a clear understanding of the environmental status and climate challenges facing the Boyne area. They will leave feeling empowered by the connections formed and inspired by the guest speakers.

Over the following two months, participants will design and implement action projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions and revitalising climate action in the region. Mentoring and support will be provided throughout this period.

Our final meeting on September 13th will mark the deadline for project completion. We will come together to share what we’ve learned and celebrate what we’ve accomplished.
