Diabetes Ireland, in partnership with Abbott, is delighted to present The Power of the Pen, a unique series of free creative writing workshops for children, teens, and adults with Type 1 Diabetes.

Led by the renowned spoken word poet Duke Al, these workshops offer an inspiring opportunity to:

• Discover your creative voice
• Share your personal story
• Connect with others who understand your journey

Location: Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry, Dublin
Date: Wednesday, February 19th

Workshop Schedule:

8–10 years: 10:00 am–11:00 am – Fun with poetry and expressing emotions about living with diabetes.
10–13 years: 11:30 am–1:00 pm – Breaking barriers in poetry and exploring diabetes’ impact on sports.
13–16 years: 2:30 pm–4:00 pm – Creating a visual “mask” for an invisible condition.
Adults: 6:30 pm–8:00 pm – Tackling and breaking the stigma surrounding diabetes.
