The MA in Educational Practice at National College of Ireland is a two-year, part-time evening programme for professionals working in education and training contexts who wish to develop their knowledge, skills and competence to effectively enable the learning and development of others.

Most classes are online live streamed with in-person attendance required for two Saturday seminars each semester.

Year One includes modules in Strategies of Learning and Teaching, Theories of Learning and Teaching, Educational Practice for Diversity and Inclusion, Technology-Enhanced Learning and Coaching and Mentoring.

Year Two focuses on the development of scholarship and will prepare you to undertake an independent piece of educational research, which will make a contribution to the development of educational practice.
The college operates a Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPEL) scheme, which means that applicants who do not meet the normal academic requirements may be considered based on relevant work or other relevant experience.

Advanced entry to Year Two may be available to applicants who have already completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Practice or have an equivalent qualification or experience.
