About Rutland Youth Service:

Established in April 2023, Rutland Youth Service (RYS) supports young people in North-East Inner-City Dublin. We’re funded by UBU Your Place Your Space and The Probation Service, providing youth programmes and probation services to create a safe, supportive environment where young people can flourish.

Why Join Our Board?

As a board member, you'll help guide and support our youth work and probation services, ensuring we effectively serve the interests of young people and the community. This voluntary role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference.

Board Roles Available:

  • Treasurer (Finance & Governance Skills)
  • HR Specialist
  • Directors (with various skills)
  • Community Representative

What We're Looking For:

Treasurer: A finance professional with 5+ years of senior management experience. You'll oversee finances, budgeting, compliance, and strategic planning.

HR Specialist: An experienced HR professional with 3+ years of senior management experience. You'll advise on HR practices, compliance, and risk management.

Directors: Professionals with expertise in governance, compliance, legal affairs, and more. You'll advise on legal responsibilities, ensure compliance, and help improve our policies.

Community Representative: Individuals with a strong background in community work or development. You'll provide insights on community needs and help represent our organisation positively.

Commitment:

Approximately 2-4 hours per month, including up to 9 board meetings a year, sub-committee meetings, and preparatory activities. Each director serves a term of up to three years, with the possibility of serving two additional terms.
