HR Committee Member – Voluntary role


The Anne Sullivan Centre (ASC) located in Stillorgan, Co Dublin, currently provides residential, day and outreach services to people who are deafblind. We are a small organisation offering intensive professional support to individuals who are experiencing significant multi-sensory challenges.

The Anne Sullivan Centre is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors. The Board has several sub committees, one of which is a recently established Human Resources Committee.

At present we are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced HR professionals to join this new HR Committee. The role would be on a voluntary basis. Meetings in the main would be online and will be scheduled twice during the year or as required.

Role of ASC’s HR Committee

  • To ensure that the Human Resource practices support the strategic aims of the ASC and enable the recruitment and retention of staff, whilst complying with the requirements of governance and regulatory bodies
  • Review and make recommendations to the Board on an ASC HR plan and relevant policies
  • Oversee and make recommendations to the Board on succession planning for key personnel
  • Oversee the development of a person-centred learning culture that nurtures talent and inspires innovation and creativity
  • Consider other issues referred on occasions, by the Board.
