South Inner City Drug & Alcohol Task Force: Independent Chairperson
The SICDATF is recruiting for the position of an Independent Chairperson of the South Inner City Drug & Alcohol Task Force.
The chairperson is a key figure, and the success of the Task Force will very much depend on the level of experience, commitment, skills and energy they can bring to the role. The chairperson's role is to lead the Task Force and to facilitate its meetings. They should be independent of any funded projects and preferably have no links with any of the task forces' partner agencies.
The successful candidate should have:
- Experience in the role of Chairperson
- An interest and understanding of drug and alcohol misuse
- A strong background in business planning and implementation
- Knowledge and experience of social inclusion issues and community development.
- Ability to bring together organisations and individuals from different sectors to work as a team and use a partnership approach to problem-solving
The position of Chairperson is a non-salaried post. Out-of-pocket expenses will be paid. The term of office is three years. A maximum of three days per month will be required for Chairperson duties.
