If you can’t make it in time for the ceremony (registration at 2:15 PM, ceremony at 2:30), feel free to join us from 5PM – 6:30PM for our reception, where you can connect with current and past participants, partners, and friends, and explore the STAND Changemakers projects.

There will be music and energizers sprinkled throughout the ceremony, and drinks and snacks will be available.

Background Information 

The Changemakers Academy is STAND’S most extensive and in-depth programme, designed for university students passionate about global issues and social justice activism. It comprises of four strands: global perspectives, leadership for collective change, collective activism projects and the road ahead. These four strands are delivered over four in-person weekends and a 5-day long winter school in Common Knowledge, West Clare. This year, 25 participants from 18 countries have thrown themselves into the creation of this global community of advocates, activists and changemakers through STAND's Academy.

The event is a celebration of the 2024-2025 STAND Changemakers and our widening community of activists. At the ceremony, the audience will hear about participants' changemaking journeys and learn about the creative solutions that have emerged in response to challenges relating to the environment, political participation, mental health and inclusion. And, at the reception you will have a chance to reconnect with STAND alumni, chat to the Changemakers 2024-2025 about their journey and projects and (re)-experience the STAND Community vibe!
