KDYS Youth Justice Programme, are actively seeking to recruit volunteers in the Kerry region to join their mentoring programme.

The young people and families (parents, carers) that are referred to us come from diverse backgrounds, so we need individuals who can build relationships and foster positive mentoring. No specialist background or previous experience is required but is welcomed —we will provide all the necessary training.

Offering a training programme designed to ensure that you feel confident and ready before being matched. You will also have the support of a trained coordinator who will be able to offer advice and guidance whenever needed. Regular group sessions with other Mentors to learn from their experiences and discuss different challenges. Optional ongoing training is also provided in specialist areas throughout.
