About Dublin Theatre Festival

Established in 1957, Dublin Theatre Festival is Europe's longest-running theatre festival, taking place over three weeks each autumn. We bring world-class theatre to Dublin, support artists in creating outstanding work, and provide a platform to showcase the best of Irish theatre to the world. The 2024 Dublin Theatre Festival will run from September 26th to October 13th. At the heart of the festival is the city of Dublin—its people and its stories—and a commitment to contributing to the vibrant social and cultural life of our capital. Our mission is to present a program of exceptional theatrical experiences that appeal to the diverse communities that make up our city.

Volunteer with Dublin Theatre Festival this Autumn

Dublin Theatre Festival is looking for enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to help out at this year’s festival, running from 26 September to 13 October 2024. If you’re passionate about the arts and eager to get involved in a busy and exciting festival, this could be the role for you!

Each year, Dublin Theatre Festival recruits a team of volunteers who generously give their time, energy and expertise to the festival. Roles vary and include ushering, front of house, stewarding, assisting with the box office and events, as well as conducting market research.

By volunteering with Dublin Theatre Festival, you could:

• Develop new or existing skills.
• Gain experience in hospitality, box office, front of house, marketing and production.
• See what’s involved in organising the festival.
• Be a part of a large-scale theatre festival.
• Get to see selected shows in the programme.
• Meet new people.
• Have a lot of fun!

Volunteers are required to complete a minimum of 3 volunteer shifts. They will also have the opportunity to receive tickets for up to 3 selected performances during the festival.
