Volunteer with Children in Hospital Ireland

Children in Hospital Volunteers facilitate play and provide support to children and their families while in hospital. We are growing our team of over 300 volunteers nationwide this autumn with Play Volunteer training being held in Dublin, Galway, Waterford and Kilkenny for volunteer opportunities in CHI at Crumlin, Temple St, Tallaght and Connolly, Galway University Hospital, University Hospital Waterford, St Luke's Hospital Kilkenny.

Though there will be no training dates in Wexford, Sligo, Castlebar, or Limerick in this recruitment window, those interested in volunteering in these hospitals who may be available to travel to one of the above training days are also very welcome to apply at this time.

Commitment

Volunteers are most needed Monday to Friday mornings and afternoons across all hospital locations. There are evening and weekend volunteer opportunities available in many hospitals as well, with full details available in the online informational videos specific to each hospital on Volunteer for Children in Hospital Ireland l Help Children in Hospital

Volunteers should be available to commit to 1 year of volunteering, and able to give 2 hours per week on a consistent day and time. Consistency is very important to our volunteer partners as well as to the hospitals and child and families we support with play.
