The need for housing and community-based services has never been greater. What we in Respond do is all about people and the communities around them. It is vital that new housing developments, so badly needed, also have vital community infrastructure such as those that Respond provide – Early Childhood Care and Education Services, Day Care Centres for Older People, Family Homeless Services, Refugee Resettlement Services and Family Support.

We provide direct services for marginalised young people including drug users, young homeless, Travellers, teenage parents, early school leavers and young offenders. We promote the development of voluntary youth groups and volunteers, and the development and management of resources for young people in the North Clondalkin area.

The Slaney flows from Lugnaquilla Mountain west and then 73 miles south through Baltinglass, Rathvilly, Tullow, Bunclody, Enniscorthy and finally Wexford discharging into a 12 mile long narrow estuary.
