FORENSIC AND COURT SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN

We specialise in providing court support and accompaniment to young people and their families who have been victims of crime or witnesses to crime, and forensic support accompaniment when the young person attends a forensic unit for examination.

Our service is nationwide and we have trained accompaniment support volunteers throughout the country. Due to our current expansion plan, we need more, especially in Cork.

If you are interested in volunteering, we would love to hear from you:

No formal qualifications are required, just a willingness to help, kindness and empathy. You will need to be over 22 years of age and have excellent English.

We have a comprehensive training course which takes place over 2 weekends and we will also require 2 references and garda vetting.

If you would like more information about volunteering with us, please contact Margaret Dent, National Volunteer Co-ordinator on 085 139 0217 or volunteercoordinator@assc.ie
