Internship with IRC’s Resettlement and Outreach Services

The IRC’s Resettlement Service provides information and support to all program refugees and their families in Ireland. It also operates an outreach service to locations around the country where resettled families live. There is an opportunity for two interns to work part-time for six months from October 2024 to April 2025.

No previous experience is required but candidates must have a commitment to human rights and the ability to work with vulnerable people, some of whom will have experienced severe trauma before they arrive in Ireland. Arabic language is required for one of the interns.

Full training will be given together with the opportunity to participate in other training and learning opportunities both within and outside of the IRC. Support and supervision is provided throughout the internship by a member of staff. Travel and lunch expenses are covered.

If you are interested, please submit your CV with a covering letter/email saying why you want to take up the internship and confirm your availability for six months from 1st October.

Deadline for applications – 16/08/2024.

Interviews of those shortlisted will take place the week of 26/08/2024. Applications should be submitted to hassina@irishrefugeecouncil.ie
