The Community Impact Network (CIN) is a national network focused on building the collective leadership and capacity of organisations to meet the needs of older people in Ireland.   CIN offers Networking, Training, Technology, Resources & Best Practice to support the membership base. We develop connections and partnerships between statutory, community and voluntary services which enhance services for older people. Our Community Impact Network is open to any group, service or organisation who provides supports to older people. We connect, we network, we train across diverse groups, services and organisations. To gather into one national network base for services that support older people to create a greater impact.

Our Sept-Dec 2024 training schedule includes the launch of additional new training modules in the ALONE CIN Positive Living programme month on Financial challenges and Cybersecurity. The Positive Living programme seeks to develop a compassionate understanding of the older person, and of the issues that they face, and is aiming to enable staff and volunteers to be efficient in their work. All modules are developed based on research and evaluation of needs.  Modules aim to equip participants on how to: 

  • provide the best support to our Older People in core areas 
  • maximise our impact

The schedule also guides on our bi-monthly members in action sessions, these are theme and topic focused sessions to support member in their work or volunteering supporting older people. CIN will share with members information, knowledge and resources base on members needs. These sessions also provide an opportunity to network, share and learn with peers. September topic focus is Policy, Procedure and Practice.
