Well-known community sector leader John Evoy is the latest guest on the Love and Courage podcast. John joins host Ruairí McKiernan for a rich and wide-ranging conversation that explores his upbringing in rural Wexford, his experiences with bereavement and addiction, and his transition from farming into community work, including founding the Irish Men’s Shed’s Association. John is a recipient of a People of the Year award, a former board member of The Wheel and Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board, and a current board member of Community Finance Ireland.

In the podcast, John also discusses aspects of his previous work with Rethink Ireland and his current role as the General Manager of Grow Remote. The pair, both of whom are trained counsellors, also discuss their shared interest in therapy, mental health, and meditation while exploring some of the wider health and social challenges society faces.
