Offaly Down Syndrome Association is delighted to invite you to a very special event on Friday, 20th September, at Esker Arts Tullamore. As part of the national Culture Night celebrations, we are proud to launch our Christmas single, a heartfelt rendition of “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” recorded in collaboration with the acclaimed Irish artist Simon Casey, produced by Joe Egan from The Nutshed Studios in Clara, County Offaly, and with the Music Video produced by Stephen Heaney of Inpho Photography.

This unique project was funded under the Local Creative Youth Funding Scheme, is association with the Creative Ireland Programme, Department of Education and Laois and Offaly Education and Training Board, and with help from Music Generation Offaly. It features the incredible voices of members from the Offaly Down Syndrome community, who have come together to share a message of hope, peace, and goodwill. The single, inspired by the timeless John Lennon and Yoko Ono classic, is a testament to the talent and determination of our members, and we are thrilled to share it with the world.

The evening will include the official launch of the single, and an opportunity to meet the artists and supporters who made this project possible. Guests will also enjoy light refreshments and the chance to connect with others in the community.
