The main aim of Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS) is to provide an independent, free and confidential Money Advice and Budgeting Service, primarily to low income families who are in debt or risk of getting into debt, to facilitate them to cope with their immediate problems and become financially independent in the long-term.

MABS also has a broader role in educating the community to develop the knowledge and skills required to avoid getting into debt and to deal effectively with debt situations which arise.



MABS highlights changes in policy and practice which need to be implemented at local and national level in order to eliminate poverty and overindebtedness.
